Gruelling Cycle Challenge

Rob Moon Managing Director, Steve Ludkin, Contracts Director, and Matt Dickinson Site Manager were invited, along with 26 other cyclists, by Packetts Insurance Brokers to take part in a gruelling 2 day cycle event covering 200 miles.

Day 1 involved cycling from Saltaire, through the dales, to Masham – the route approached 100 miles with over 9000ft of climbing, including Lofthouse Climb (the lungbuster) which is 4.5km long and includes a gradient of over 20%.

The only light at the end of the tunnel was a night at Theakston’s brewery, this was a steady affair having to do it all again the next day.

Day 2 had slightly less hills but was still over 100 miles back through the Vale of York returning to Valley Parade, Bradford, the home of the chosen charity, One in a Million.

One in a Million are a fantastic local charity helping children throughout Bradford please see
