‘Re-Making Leeds’ is a three year project which aims to develop the practical heritage skills required to maintain, repair and refurbish pre 1919 heritage buildings in Leeds. Eighteen of their students enjoyed a visit to our site at Leeds Art Gallery.
Amanda Phillips, Education Officer, Leeds Art Gallery, introduced the group to how Leeds Art Gallery has changed over time. Steven Ludkin, Construction Director, Bermar spoke to the group about the current works being carried out and escorted them around the site. This Enabled the group to fully understand the changes being made and provided answers to many enthusiastic questions.
