We are pleased to announce that Leeds City Council have appointed Bermar to refurbish the roof of this magnificent, Brodrick designed, Grade I listed building.
The £4.2million scheme will commence in December, 2018 and is scheduled for completion in November, 2020.
Works include stripping of existing slates, insulation, re-roofing and replacement of damaged leadwork. Glazed sections will be replaced, as will the access ways.
Other works include external fabric renovation, internal chandelier upgrades and protection of the famous organ.
Bermar has a long award winning history of works to historic buildings, including many Grade I and several Town Halls.
This is the second time we have worked on the Town Hall roof and we recently completed the works to the roof of the Leeds Art Gallery and Library.
