Middleton Park Visitor Centre – update

Construction of the new Middleton Park Visitor Centre and Bandstand in Leeds is now complete.

As the Scheme is within the historic Park, it has attracted a great deal of local interest. We were delighted that during construction we were visited by local MP and Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Hilary Benn.

His visit was part of an Open Day, involving school children from St Mary’s Primary School. We have worked closely with Yorbuild, Leeds City Council and Friends of Middleton Park to achieve a stunning result in keeping with the natural setting, but also to cause minimal disruption to the users of the Park.

Key features were:
Sedum roof, Ground source heating, Hydraulic timber shutters, Resin finish to tarmacadam.

The Project was part of the Yorbuild Framework.
Client: Leeds City Council.
Architects: Leeds City Council (NPS).
