Recently completed works at the National Science and Media Museum
The Basebuild works are now complete and the Museum has re-opened for visitors.
The works included the strip out and reconfiguration of the foyer area with a new reception desk, seating area, cafe and shop, new passenger lift and entrance doors. The main staircase was refurbished including decoration, sanding and varnishing of the wooden stairs.
New galleries formed for a permanent ‘sound and vision’ exhibit at level 3 & 5 including provision of a refurbished WC. Other works to level 5, 7 and 8 included a new staff kitchen, creation of new offices, upgrading of the air handling system, ventilation, lighting and general mechanical and electrical works.
The photographs show the refurbished foyer area.
